Gisela Lopez Galmiche (Research Engineer)

She received a Ph. D degree in Optics from Department of Optics, National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics located in Mexico. She has seven years working with fiber optics systems and She has published work in scientific peer review journals. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the College of Optics and Photonics. She was focused on the experimental development of a fiber optics recirculating loop needed for the study of the exceptional point encirclement. Her research has focused on numerical modeling and experimental study of fiber optics such as single mode, multimode, erbium doped fibers, negative curvature hollow core and fiber devices. She also has experience in developing data analysis and numerical studies using commercial packages and code writing in Matlab and Comsol.
