Ferrona Lie obtained her Bachelor in Science degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master of Science in Management degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As an undergraduate, she participated in a research effort to increase the efficacy of nano-transistors fabrication at the Walter Schottky Institut at Technische Universität München. At Rogers Research Group, she took part in the development of flexible electronics for body thermal monitoring. As one of the first NeuroLux employees, she was actively involved in launching technology prototypes in collaboration with Washington University School of Medicine and preparing to attend the 2016 annual Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Meeting. She was also in charge of the successful SBIR funding proposal which resulted in the first round of external financing for NeuroLux. After receiving her master’s degree in May 2017, she returned to be the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
